Mini Mann Barber School (Sensory Experience Sessions)

Sessions will be held on Sundays and selected weekdays (please see social media for session dates & times available to book).

Attendance by appointment only with limited numbers per session to allow customers to visit the salon and for their child(ren) get used to the surroundings and work up to an appointment. Please note this is not limited to diagnosed neurodivergent children as we understand all children have sensory needs at different levels and we are passionate about making every child feel comfortable and safe in our barbershop.

Your child will experience the following if consent is given by the parent and child for each activity:

- sitting in the barber chair
- wearing a gown/cape
- holding a comb/brush (brushing a dolls hair)
- brushing/combing their hair
- water mist sprayed on their hair
- Hearing the buzz of the clippers
- feeling the vibration of clippers handle (with safety guard attached)
- watching a barber cut an adults/childrsquos hair (if model not available a doll may be used)
- see and play with sensory toys available to use during haircut visits
- parents can see alternative methods barber can use to cut hair with specialised tools
- receive a sticker for attending
- receive a sugar-free lollipop (at parents discretion)
- reward card for attending the session (discounting your entry fee of £2 on next haircut)
- lsquoMini Mann Barber Schoolrsquo Graduation Certificate on completion of first hair cut

The £2 cost applies per child attending and will be discounted off your childrsquos next haircut when you present the reward card. Any extra donations will be solely used to fund further sensory sessions and equipment for our young sensory seeking guests .

Online viewing can be organised as an early step in the process where we explain the process of haircuts. We are happy to organise this for groups, families and on an individual basis, please contact us for more information.
